Katyayani BAXIL (Bacillus supp 2% AS) is a bio-fungicide formulated with high concentrations of live Bacillus Subtilis bacteria. When applied to the soil, plants, or seeds, the bacteria colonize the root zone and provide protection against various fungal diseases. As an eco-friendly alternative to chemical fungicides, it is safe for humans, animals, and the environment.

Katyayani BAXIL effectively controls a range of fungal diseases, including Down Mildew, Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose, and Leaf Blight, as well as other seed, soil, and air-borne fungal diseases.
Target Crops:
It is suitable for a wide variety of crops, including Oil Seeds, Cotton, Tomato, Pea, Beans, Millet, Pulses, Onion, Garlic, Basil, Cucurbita, Mango, Grapes, Ginger, Citrus, Cereal, Corn, Apple, Pomegranate, Peach, Plum, and many others.
Mode of Action:
Katyayani BAXIL works through several mechanisms to suppress fungal growth:
- Competition: Bacillus subtilis competes with harmful fungi for space and nutrients on plant surfaces and in the soil.
- Antibiotic Production: It produces antifungal compounds that inhibit the growth of fungal spores and hyphae.
- Induced Systemic Resistance (ISR): It triggers the plant’s defense mechanisms, making it more resistant to fungal infections.
Dosage:
For soil application, mix 1-2 liters of Bacillus Subtilis per acre with 200 kg of well-rotted FYM/compost and broadcast it during land preparation, sowing, or for standing crops. Follow up with light irrigation after application.
For foliar spray, mix 5-10 ml of Bacillus Subtilis in 1 liter of water and spray on both sides of the leaves when the first symptoms of the disease appear. Repeat every 7-10 days.
For optimal results, 2-3 applications are recommended, and frequency can be increased based on disease severity.
